The Conair HS18W hot sticks are just hollow rubber with coiled wires and lose their heat too quickly to make curls. And the rubber pulls out your hair when you unroll the sticks. I went online to order the Conair Ceramic Jelly Roller sticks from Target, and these work great! They stay hot and slides away from your hair when you remove them. I should have returned the first set, it was a waste of money.
